| Oil
quality significantly influences the ultimate size of maintenance
and energy expenses, which are many times larger than the cost
of oil. In fact, if you look at what oil costs as a percentage
of your total maintenance budget, it is insignificant , typically
only about 2 percent. And cost of energy for rotating equipment
is 20 to 25 times larger than the entire maintenance budget.
An energy efficient oil that could net a mere 0.1 percent energy
savings would pay for 100 percent of oil purchases. |
